Star Energy Group plc is an energy company that has traditionally focused on oil and gas extraction. However, they are gradually shifting toward a more renewable future by developing a geothermal energy business.
I contributed to the visual brand identity of Star Energy by taking the newly created logo and brand elements and further expanding on these concepts. I explored and developed these ideas to design the website for Star Energy, effectively escalating and unifying the brand's visual identity across digital platforms.

Challenge
Following the rebrand of iGas Energy into Star Energy, the company needed a new corporate website that could communicate its evolving focus on renewable energy while continuing to serve investors and industry stakeholders.
The challenge was to translate a complex energy narrative into a clear and structured digital experience. Geothermal energy is still relatively unfamiliar to many audiences, so the website needed to explain technical concepts in a way that was accessible to both investors and the wider public, without losing credibility with industry stakeholders.
At the same time, the platform had to manage a large volume of corporate information, including company updates, investor materials, and operational insights. This required rethinking the site structure and content hierarchy to create a clear, intuitive experience that balanced technical detail with strategic storytelling.
Background
Rebranding Star Energy for a Sustainable, Future-Ready Identity
Before rebranding Star Energy (formerly IGas Energy Plc), we first redesigned GT Energy's brand identity. GT Energy, a subsidiary focused on deep geothermal projects in the UK and Ireland, received a minimalist design that highlighted their dedication to renewable energy. We also improved their previous logo for better scalability and tested it at key breakpoints.

After finalizing the new logo, I began working on the company's web design. Through this process, I was able to establish the visual identity of the brand and develop through a continues communication with the rest of the team the rest of the branding elements.

Rebranding Star Energy for a Sustainable, Future-Ready Identity
Shortly after we completed the branding and website for GT Energy, Star Energy (formerly IGas Group) decided to rebrand their company and incorporate GT Energy into their operations.
The objective of this project was to create a distinctive and modern brand identity, along with a website that would embody the company’s shift toward a renewable future.

The company aimed to refresh their logo and give the brand a contemporary look that would not only match but surpass their competitors.
The new logo symbolizes movement, evolution, and transition—reflecting the company’s commitment to a sustainable future. The symbol forms an ‘S’ shape, while the logotype is clean and open, reinforcing the brand’s fresh, forward-thinking identity.

Process
Leading the Web Design Strategy Through Research and Discovery
As the design lead on the web design project, I researched the old website's structure, analyzed competitors, and identified the target audience while the brand identity was still evolving. Much of this insight was derived from a client questionnaire, which helped shape the visual approach.
