Carr Kamasa Design is a multidisciplinary consultancy specializing in branding, graphic design, web development, and digital marketing. The agency delivers trusted corporate communications across platforms, consistently producing innovative, visually compelling designs that resonate with audiences and drive results.

Challenge

The redesign of the website for Carr Kamasa Design (CKD) aimed to modernise the company’s digital presence while strengthening how the brand communicates its expertise to prospective clients. As a consultancy working with major corporate organisations, the website needed to convey professionalism and credibility while still reflecting the studio’s creative personality.

The challenge was to create a structure and visual language that balanced these qualities, presenting the company as both serious and strategically minded, yet approachable and visually engaging. At the same time, the site needed clearer navigation and content hierarchy so visitors could quickly understand the services offered and explore the studio’s work.

This required rethinking the information architecture and visual direction to create a website that improved usability, communicated the brand more effectively, and helped build confidence with potential clients.

This rebranding aimed to showcase the brand’s values, building on a strong foundation that allows for creativity and adaptability, while ensuring flexibility without compromising its core identity.

Process

Research

Once the route and logo were established, I began the web design phase by researching our target audience. To create a user-friendly experience, we convened as a team to identify crucial website elements and their importance for our digital footprint.

Following this, I conducted a hybrid card sorting session to gather and organize the ideas from the team. We then met to discuss and categorize these ideas into potential website pages.

Thanks to these sessions, I was able to narrow down the website's information structure, enabling me to develop the following information architecture. This allowed me to move forward with the next phase of the project.

With the information architecture in place, I proceeded to visual research for the website. This included examining our direct and indirect competitors, as well as websites from other agencies or brands that aligned with our brand vision.

During my exploration of web design options, I was able to enhance the brand's identity by introducing additional elements. This created a cohesive visual language that reflected the brand's essence and strengthened its online presence.
